This series represents the core of Cosmic Terror’s philosophy: oversized, high-powered cabinets built for extreme sound pressure, depth, and sonic impact. Whether you need a crushing 6×12”, a massive 4×15”, or hybrid configurations like 2×12” + 1×15” or 2×12” + 2×15”, these cabinets are designed to deliver the widest possible frequency range with overwhelming power and clarity.

Every Cosmic Terror cabinet is constructed using half-through dovetail joints, reinforced with strong front-to-back bracing and fully screwed-and-glued front frames for exceptional strength and long-term durability.

Different speaker sizes are separated into dedicated chambers with independent inputs, allowing flexible mono or stereo operation. Depending on the speaker configuration, cabinets may combine sealed and ported sections for maximum sonic performance.

Cabinets can be loaded with virtually any speaker available on the market. Over the years, I have developed favorite speaker combinations that perfectly match the Cosmic Terror sound, but individual configurations are always possible. Grill cloth, cabinet color, finish, and speaker setup can all be customized to suit personal preferences and sonic needs.

Common Impedance questions:

Cosmic Terror Monoliths are usually divided into two separate chambers with individual inputs for each section — for example 2×12 + 4×12 (sealed or ported) or 2×12 + 2×15 configurations.

For maximum flexibility, an optional rear plate can be installed with one overall input for the complete cabinet, as well as two separate inputs for each chamber. This allows you to run two amplifiers through a single cabinet and create a stereo setup.

For best results in a dual amp setup, we recommend using a high-quality signal splitter with ground lift and phase switch options to avoid phase cancellation.

A common question concerns impedance options. Cosmic Terror cabinets are highly flexible and can be wired in multiple configurations. For example, a 6×12 can operate as two separate 4 Ohm sections plus one 8 Ohm series configuration, or as a single 2 Ohm load. Configurations with separate 16 Ohm sections for the 4×12 and 2×12 are also possible.

1×15 cabinets are usually wired at 8 Ohm, while 2×15 versions can be configured for either 4 Ohm or 16 Ohm operation.

For maximum efficiency, punch, and speaker response, we generally recommend lower impedance setups, since the speakers operate in parallel and receive power more evenly. That said, don’t worry if you prefer a 16 Ohm cabinet — the sound will still be absolutely massive. The difference between 4 Ohm and 16 Ohm is subtle, but definitely noticeable.

Thanks to their powerful projection, tight response and exceptional clarity, they also perform incredibly well for fast and aggressive music including Death Metal, Black Metal, Hardcore, Thrash and other high-gain genres where precise attack and massive sound are equally important.

Each cabinet is fully customizable — from finishes and hardware to speaker configurations and porting designs — allowing every player to create a cabinet that matches both their sound and visual identity.

One of the biggest advantages of Cosmic Terror Cabinets is their ability to work exceptionally well for both guitar and bass guitar applications. Through years of real-world testing with high-volume tube amps and heavy fuzz setups, we developed speaker combinations that deliver enormous low end, massive physical impact and exceptional articulation.
